Remote Printing via TSPrint
At some locations True North Networks has been implementing a new and easier printing system. This new system is called TSPrint. This new system allows remote printing to function without needing to install special printers or drivers on the server for you to print remotely. This also no longer means that you have to buy a special printer if it is not made for a server.
The general rule is... if your printers can print on your local computer, then using TSPrint, you can print from the server to your printers. The install is easy... just download the TSPrint Client for your computer operating system, and install it. Just a few clicks of Next, Next, Next, and you are finished.
Next time you are on the server, when you print, look for one of the three below printers to print. No need to look for your actual printer. See below for the description of each printer, and what function they allow you to do.
The TSPrint Client works on the following operating systems:
- Windows 8
- Windows 7
- Windows Vista
- Windows XP
- Windows 2000
- Windows Embedded
- Mac OSX (10.6,10.7,10.8)
- HP ThinOS
Click the corresponding link to download the TSPrint client for your OS:
To install, first, close all open RDP connections. Download the TSPrint Client package above and run it. After a few seconds, the installation will finish, and you can reconnect.
*NOTE: Only install the TSPrint Client if you know your server is using the TSPrint system.
If you have any problems installing the client, please contact True North Networks Support.
